Arrival through Athens National Airport

The easiest way to arrive to Skiathos island is through Athens National Airport (Eleftherios Venizelos). From Athens airport there are daily direct flights to Skiathos by Olympic Air (www.olympicair.com).

Arrival through Volos

Alternatively you may arrive to Skiathos through the city of Volos by taking the conventional ferry boat or the fast boat. The trip with the conventional ferry boat (SKIATHOS EXPRESS) is about 2 hours and 30 minutes, while with the fast boat is 1 hour and 30 minutes. Schedule of FLYING CAT 5&6

Following your arrival to Skiathos it is proposed to reach the Skiathos Palace Hotel by taxi. The taxi station is on the bay very closed to the place where you will get out of the boat. The distance to the hotel is 11km and the cost is about 15 euros.

Arrival to Volos

There is regular bus and train connection between Thessaloniki and Volos (a total estimated travel time of 3-3,5 hours including transfer). Local bus no. 78 takes you from the airport to the train and the bus station. For more information and time-schedules consult the following:PDF file
